** First I want to thank each and every one of you that visits my blog, reads my stuff, or just browses around looking at the occasional pretty picture. This blog started as an experiment to see if I could share my writing with the world and I must report it has brought me many smiles. To all of you here in Tumblr and Twitter, THANK YOU! **
The year is about to end and we all have this stupid tendency of sitting down and thinking about the past 365 days, what did they bring me? What did they take from me? Did I accomplish anything? Did I fail miserably… again?
I am not used to making New Year’s resolutions. Before, (when I was younger) I thought of myself as a dreamless child. I didn’t really have expectations for anything and thought everyone else deserved better than me, so, why dream if I knew they weren’t coming true?
Then, as time passed and good things started happening to me, I decided that instead of making ‘resolutions’ I’d take the reigns of whatever I could call a dream and work for it. Nobody will come and make them true for me, I must work towards my goals on my own.
There’s this saying that if what you are doing makes you bleed at some point, it’ll end up well. Of course, that’s said when you are up to your elbows in motor grease trying to fix up a car. But it very well could be translated into pouring your all into your work, even your blood.
So, my ‘non resolution’ is to work, let the blood and the tears and the sweat flow as I work hard to make my dreams come true.
Hope you all have a safe New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day!
